Taegan Goddard Co-Founder
Taegan D. Goddard is a digital media pioneer and founder of Political Wire and several other influential political websites.
Goddard also served as founding publisher of Retro Report, an innovative documentary news organization that revisited stories that have faded from the headlines.
Previously, Goddard was Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Oppenheimer Capital, a $35 billion asset management firm in New York City. He held the same position at PIMCO Equity Advisors, a $14 billion asset manager that he helped launch soon after joining PIMCO Advisors in 1997.
Prior to joining the private sector, Goddard served as a policy advisor to a United States Senator and Governor. As Deputy Treasurer of Connecticut, he directed the largest public pension fund restructuring in Wall Street history.
Goddard is also the co-author with Chris Riback of YOU WON – NOW WHAT? How Americans Can Make Democracy Work from City Hall to the White House (Scribner, 1998), a political management book hailed by journalists and politicians from both parties. He has also written for dozens of newspapers across the country.
Goddard holds degrees from Harvard University and Vassar College and lives in Rye, NY with his wife and three sons.
