Chris Riback Co-Founder

Chris Riback works at the intersection of communications, business and technology.

Riback served as a Managing Director at Citi in marketing, digital content and customer communications. He worked in Corporate, Institutional and Consumer banking. He ran cross-business marketing, helped lead the corporate rebranding effort, and launched CitiMedia, the firm’s internal digital media agency.

Previously, Riback worked in broadcast news, print and web. He served at CBS (60 Minutes) and ABC News, as well as CBS Sports in the US and overseas. Riback started his career reporting from post-Communist Romania.

Riback also is host of Conversations with Thinkers and Political Wire Conversations, high-level and engaging conversations on business, international affairs, technology, politics, economics, culture and more. Political Wire Conversations has been ranked No. 3 on iTunes News & Politics category. Riback also has served as guest host for a national show on the ABC radio network.

Riback is co-author with Taegan Goddard of YOU WON, NOW WHAT? How Americans Can Make Democracy Work from City Hall to the White House (Scribner), a political management book widely hailed by prominent politicians and journalists as a must-read for “anyone seeking to understand how American politics operates.” Their essays on politics and public policy appeared in dozens of newspapers.

Riback and Goddard also were co-founders of Political Insider, one of the first political sites on the web.

Riback earned degrees from Harvard University, Columbia University and University of California, Berkeley.
